The finished clasp for my necklace "The Bow"
I wanted to achieve a clasp that both left handed and right handed people would be comfortable in using.
I came up with making a two toggle clasp, which would enable me to make a decorated loop.
The first one I made was a single loop but it moved around and you missed seeing the decoration.
Above is the second one. Now this does not move around and it has given me more scope to decorate. The really great part about this is you could take the loop away from the necklace and put a chain through the top part and wear it. It is attractive on its own - so dual purpose !
I love things having dual purpose!
This is such a beautiful (in every sense of the word) solution. Your creativity and talent and exquisite taste always astound me! This is no exception!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful feedback Sally, many thanks to you

I love dual purpose as well. This is a great design Patrick!
ReplyDeleteThank you Shirley, the great thing with this is you can wear it on a chain, you could make another necklace and use this clasp for that necklace, also you could make a rope with fancy toggles and wear it at the front as well. Many ideas. Thanks for the comment.

Hi,Patrick:-)
ReplyDeleteNice clasp. It looks really great!I didn't think, that it can be made with the toggle both sides. It looks so decorative and it really is more functional,if someone has problems with fastening with the i.e. right hand.I like the idea and I'll also probably try to make a double toggle closure.
HAPPY EASTER TO YOU and Warm Greetings-Halinka-
Greetings Halinka, thank you for your comments. I am glad I have inspired you to try the double toggle. There is a lot of potential for decorating the loop.
